Re: Policy Implementation: APOT - Policy # 412.30, APOD - Policy # 412.35

Effective:  October 10, 2022

This letter is to confirm that Stanislaus County EMS Agency is implementing two (2) policies regarding Ambulance patient offload time (APOT) and Ambulance patient offload delay (APOD), effective Monday, October 10, 2022. Within the APOD policy (412.35) is a section that addresses patients who meet criteria for “Immediate Movement to Waiting Area’ to off-load appropriately triaged patients to hospital waiting areas. Please assure your patients meet all outlined criteria, before reporting they are ‘triage or waiting area appropriate’.

Please report directly to receiving hospital’s MICN and/or charge RN, advising patient meets criteria for placement in waiting area, before proceeding immediately to this area.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Stanislaus County EMS Agency

Sincerely,

Chad R. Braner

Director
